ReplyDeleteHoly shit, is that ever beautiful. I have to learn how to crochet.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! I bought yarn today. I am trying to make it, but I am having trouble. I can't wait to figure it out. I desperately want to wear this!
ReplyDeleteWow. That is beautiful. I wish I understood more of the directions. I just know single and double crochet. I'll save it for some day when I know more. Thanks for sharing. It's really beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI loved this pattern the first time I saw it, (i think it was on the crochetville forumS), and made myself one. Everyone comments on how beautiful it is. Thanks so much for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely pattern! *THANK YOU!* (((((HUGS))))) sandi
ReplyDeleteA question...could you keep going and make this bigger for a plus-size gal? Maybe just add more rows at the end of pattern?
ReplyDeleteThanks! What a gorgeous shawl!!
Love your shawl.Thinking of making it for Christmas presents. What other edging would you suggest if you didn't do the fringes??? Thanks and congrats on your book.
ReplyDeleteDTW This is the first thing I've ever made for myself. I LOVE it and use it nearly every evening. It took me about a week to make in spare time after work. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your shawl!! I can't wait to make one!
ReplyDeleteJust wondered if you've made a chart for this pattern. I've tried it a couple of times and I'm not quite sure if I have it right. It's gorgeous and I'd love to actually complete one.
ReplyDeleteLook, yes the shawl is beautiful, but I'm stuck here trying to decipher the pattern's cryptic language. I really wish you would go back and clear up a few phrases, or explain in a little more detail.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this pattern! I made one for my mother in law. Not sure if SHE liked it, but I loved it and hated to give it away!
ReplyDeleteCan you explain row 3? What does it mean one group in 3trc from row below?
ReplyDelete2trc..ch1..2trc = 1 group (as in Row2)..hope this helps.
DeleteOh! Thank goodness on the clarification! Now I feel like an idiot! 😊😀
DeleteWhat brand of yarn was used in the picture?
ReplyDeletewould this work using one strand of super bulky yarn instead of 2 strands of worsted weight? thanks!
ReplyDeleteJust made this shawl! LOVE IT!! Kind of a slow start, but once I got past row 6 it was smooth sailing from there. Will use this pattern again and again. Thanks so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteNeed a video!!! It's beautiful and I really want to make one, but this directions are confusing.
ReplyDeleteWhat Erika said!
ReplyDeleteHi I'm Aussie, just wanting to know is 'trc' treble crochet? If it is then it will be our double treble. Also would like to know what ply this pattern is crocheted in as am unsure of what is your worsted yarn, Thank you for sharing your pattern, it looks stunning
ReplyDeleteI'm getting lost in between row 2 and row 3. I know I'm not doing something wrong but I'm having trouble deciphering how to fix the problem. Help please. A video would be greatly appreciated.

ReplyDeleteHave you found a video for this yet?
DeleteCan someone give me more directions please, kind of confusing
ReplyDeleteDirections are very confusing. I've ripped it out twice, just cannot figure the pattern out.
ReplyDeleteYour shawl is beautiful. My question is:
ReplyDeleteIs the pattern written in US terms? or British
Treble crochet= Trc means to wrap yarn twice around hook
Is there a way that you can post a step by step video tutorial?
ReplyDeleteSo frustrating that this author isn't bothering to answer questions or make this pattern easier to understand.
ReplyDeleteVery difficult pattern to read. No stitch explanation is making it even harder. I'd love to make it, just don't have the time to keep trying to decipher this pattern.
ReplyDeleteThe pattern is very poorly written.
ReplyDeleteCan anyone help with this pattern?
ReplyDeleteI'm stuck on row three. I got to the center and am not sure what to do with the direction "1 group in center of 3 trc from previous row." Can anyone help?
ReplyDeleteA "group" is 2 tr 1sc 2 tr done in the same stitch (I think that's right, can't view pattern right now). This is stated in row 2 (or 3 - I can't see the pattern while I'm commenting) of the pattern (in parenthesis).
ReplyDeleteI have not done the pattern yet but I do believe that when she writes "tr" she means an American treble stitch.
When I tackle this pattern, I'll come back if I run into problems or can figure out what the problem is that everyone seems to be having.
Correction: 2 tr, ch 1, 2 tr is a "group"
